The US announces it has "an increasing list of problems"
with Syria, hours after Damascus formed a "front" with
Iran. This comes in the wake of the assassination of former Lebanese
Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, who had called for the withdrawal
of Syrian troops from his country. The hand of Syria is suspected
in this act of terror. Meanwhile the Iranians claim to be only
a few short steps away from developing the bomb, and show no sign
of turning back. Iran and Syria seem to want to form a convenient
new axis of evil for Bush. Does his keen nose scent blood in the
air? Is it another opportunity for the US Army to go walkies in
the desert?
