A poll suggests that 5% of British Muslims support the bombers of 7th and 21st July, and would think that further bombings are justified to pursue their aims. This means that there are perhaps hundreds of young men willing to exchange their earthly bondage for their 72 free virgins in paradise, taking out as many of the rest of us as they can on the way. How does such a huge bolus of hatred become lodged in the gullets of these young men? I apologise for the "why-oh-why?" nature of the cartoon, but I am as non-plussed as the next person.
