wha is essentially a privatisiation of sections of the welfare
system. Ironically, there will be job losses at Job Centres -
the staff will no doubt be best placed to find themselves suitable
new minimum-wage jobs. Meanwhile, Work and Pensions Secretary
John Hutton has unveiled plans to get one million incapacity benefit
claimants back into work, saving £7bn a year. They will
generously be offered the chance to get a nice new suit for their
job interviews.
